We specialise in listed or historically interesting buildings with a reputation for taking on and delivering projects where our competitors cannot. These projects are ultimately rewarding as they provide a previously unloved or unwanted building with a new sense of rebirth and belonging.

Locally we have been responsible for the regeneration of Graylingwell Hospital in Chichester with Linden Homes which started in 2010. The original hospital was built in 1894 in a classical Queen Anne style with reconstituted stonework and a slate roof. The NHS finally moved out in 2009 after the years of use as a hospital and years of low maintenance the buildings and site looked neglected. Together with Lindens NJS painstakingly restored these buildings into modern apartment blocks that now stand in the beautiful Graylingwell park lands.

Similarly the King Edward VII hospital at Midhurst is undergoing a full restoration process creating amazing apartments and a community in these wonderful estate like grounds. Working closely in conjunction with City and Country NJS has helped revive and restore these superb buildings keeping full focus on restoring rather than replacing. Most recently NJS are working with Mecabury properties to redevelop Unicorn House in East Gate, Chichester.
